WINGATE, N.C. (NCBWA) – For the 11th straight week, the University of Tampa Spartans are the top-ranked team in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers of America (NCBWA) top 25 poll. Tampa received all 20 first-place votes, making this the ninth time UT has been the unanimous number one team this season. The Spartans are 37-4 on the season and have been the top-ranked team in every in-season NCBWA poll this year, after checking in at #3 in the preseason poll.
The top five teams are in the same order as last week, while Saint Leo and Ashland move up to sixth and seventh this week. Young Harris also moved up a pair of spots to number eight, while East Stroudsburg jumped up three spots to join the top 10.
Augustana and Mount Olive moved up three spots in this week’s poll, with Augustana checking in at #14 this week and Mount Olive climbing to number 16. Indianapolis is the only new team in this week’s poll, checking in at number 25 this week after not receiving a vote in previous weeks.
The NCBWA Region polls will be announced every Monday throughout the season, with a new top 25 national poll coming out every Wednesday.

Members receive a membership card, directory, newsletter updates and official votes in the Dick Howser Trophy, Regional Players of the Year and NCBWA All-America voting. The NCBWA also sponsors Division I Players of the Week, the Stopper of the Year, and publication and writing contests.
